The Simplest and Cheapest Way to Add Lighting to Your Pool
Have you ever tried swimming in your pool at night? If you don’t have any lighting for your pool them you probably have not. It used to be that lighting you pool was expensive and complex, but there are so many products on the market now that make it much easier.
The simplest and least expensive approach is to use floating battery powered swimming pool lights. These are just small floating buoys that have a light on the bottom that radiated down into the water. They are usually not very bright because they are just meant for accent lighting. Most people will want at least two or three to be useful.
If you are looking for more than mood lighting then the next step is to try submersible electric units that attach to the inner sidewall of the pool. Because they have more power they are able to provide brighter and more constant light. They are not as simple as the floating lights but they are still far easier then permanently mounted lighting systems.
Whatever method you choose, you will love the feeling of being able to swim after the sun goes down. It is a whole different feeling then swimming during the day and lets you get even more out of your investment in your swimming pool.
